Blog purpose

For the past three years, I have written a novel each November. I've done this as part of the National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short. See their site for all the information. This year I decided to join their 'summer camp' online, and write a novel in August, as well. So I thought that other writers and readers might like to see this novel as it is written. Hopefully this will inspire you to have a go and join the NaNo movement this November for yourself. It might not make you a published writer (although many have gone on to publication) but it will certainly improve your creative writing, and you'll have lots of fun and meet some fab people along the way.
Disclaimer - in order to reach the 'winners' enclosure' I need to reach the target of 50,000 words, by writing at least 1667 words each and every day. As you can imagine, this does not leave much time for editing. So the novel you'll see here is absolutely a first draft, complete with plot holes, dead ends and horrid lumps of prose. Don't say you weren't warned.
